The Andaman Sea is full of small islands spread out over 120 nautical miles. Our 10-12 day passage takes us to many of these islands. Our start point is Phuket Island where we do an initial 2 day training course before embarking on an 8 to 10 day passage to many of these islands.
We sail on a variety of craft, monohull yachts and catamarans. The group size and preference determines which boats we use. Our route is planned for an easy start with shorter passages and as the group becomes more experienced and skilled we cruise greater distances. Our yachts enable us to cruise the islands safely and we sleep on them and also camp ashore, as need arises.
The crew need to be trained for a minimum of two days for this trip and ideally all will have had previous experience (IYT International Crew Certificate). During the passage the students learn to crew the boat and even to navigate (as appropriate to knowledge/skill of individuals).
The essence of this trip is the ability to go to different islands and to paticipate in a range of outdoor activities such as snorkeling, trecking, diving and canoeing. We carry canoes on the multihulls and this enables us to go up rivers with small groups to explore nature on islands such as Tarutao and Ko Adang and Ko Lipi.
The trip is very much a bespoke adventure and would suit year 10 - 20 students. Particularly those with a keen sense of adventure and a desire to explore remote and interesting parts of SE Asia. This trip is again, a sketch outline and we are able to adjust it to our clients wishes, for the most part. If you are interested call us or email us or complete the quick contact form below. We are happy to discuss options and variations with you..
