The aim of the IYT (International Yachtmaster Training) Sail and Powerboat Coaching System is to encourage high standards of seamanship and navigation. IYT training is widely respected and is considered by many as the best sail training scheme in the world. Many yachtsmen and women purposely choose the IYT system because of its International reputation.
In Asia there is a demand for high quality sail training and qualifications. The IYT training system comprises a series of complimentary Recreational Courses. These courses are practical and shore based courses, for which, course completion certificates are awarded. You can enjoy them simply to increase your knowledge and confidence or use them as a progression to further IYT Certification and thereby enable students to participate in Sailing Expeditions to outlying islands in the Andaman Sea.

IYT Learn to Sail Certificate Course : (2 days )
This is a fun course teaching the basics of sailing. No previous experience is required. The course is 95% practical. After two days learning to sail with Sail in Asia you will be confident at helming and trimming sails and guiding a small yacht in almost every direction. Trainees will be amazed at how much fun sailing is and generally can't wait to sign on for a further two or three days to become IYT International Crew. Learn to Sail provides the experience of both crewing and helming a yacht and with the knowledge and skills gained you are on the way to becoming a competent crew on a yacht.
