One of our most popular activities is White Water Rafting on the Po River in Phang Nga Province. The group is taken by mini bus from Phuket to Phang Nga where the water Activity Centre is based. The road journey is splendid and one gets far away from the normal tourist track to the unspoilt regions of the national park in Phang Nga.
The group is welcomed to the Activity Centre by their guides and Instructors. Equipment is issued to all participants and demonstrations are made of how to paddle and remain attached to the raft. The safety briefing is clear and unambiguous. Each raft has two instructor crew and up to 6, but normally 4 raft riders. The students must wear suitable footwear and clothing for this activity. The risk aspect of this event is negligible as long as everyone listens to the instructor and obeys the fundamental training skills taught in the briefing.
The raft ride takes between 45 minutes and an hour. Check out our video and see if this looks like an activity you would like to engage in. Transfer and lunch is included in our multi activity program. We also include Elephant trekking and/or a visit to an amazing waterfall depending on how much time we have left. This is a top quality event and we make sure that group safety is paramount and that all safety equipment is carried and all rafts and personal safety equipment is of a high standard, but still do not forget about the fun aspect of this activity.
